How the Work Proceeds
1. Inspect and measure the driveway

4. Set forms and reinforcement
We install driveway formwork to hold the slab edges and set the finished elevations. We recheck drainage slope and transitions before concrete arrives. At fixed adjoining surfaces, we place isolation joints where needed to allow movement.
We position reinforcement on supports so it stays at the planned height during placement. Reinforcement helps control crack movement, but it does not replace base preparation or control joints.
5. Place, finish, and cut joints
We place the concrete, screed it to grade, and float the surface. We time finishing to the concrete's condition, allowing bleed water to clear before finishing continues. A broom finish gives the driveway a textured surface for traction.
We lay out control joints to guide shrinkage cracking. Where joints are saw-cut, we time cutting so the concrete can hold a clean edge while cutting early enough to help control cracking. Concrete can still crack between joints; joint placement reduces that risk without guaranteeing a crack-free slab.
6. Protect the slab while it cures
We begin curing after finishing and protect the fresh surface from traffic. Curing helps the concrete retain the moisture it needs to develop strength. A dry-looking surface does not mean the driveway is ready for a vehicle.
