Services in Moncks Corner
Most homes in Moncks Corner are single-family detached houses. That means most of our work here is the driveway in front of the garage, the walk to the front door, and the patio out back. If you live in Foxbank, Cypress Preserve, or a neighborhood off US 52 or the other main roads through town, we come to the house, measure, and look at the concrete you have now.
For driveway installation and replacement, we break out the old concrete, haul it off, excavate, and compact an aggregate base. We set forms for the edges, the apron at the street, and the drainage slope before we place concrete.
When the slab is sound but the surface is worn, concrete repair and resurfacing fixes cracks, spalls, and scaling without a full tear-out.
We also pour concrete patios, walkways and sidewalks, and shed and equipment pads. Where new concrete meets the driveway, we match the heights. The joint should not become a trip hazard or hold water against the older slab.

How Local Conditions Affect the Work
Moncks Corner sits close to a lot of water. Lake Moultrie lies just north of town. The Tailrace Canal and the Cooper River run alongside it. Wadboo Swamp and Wappoola Swamp sit in the wider area, and many local creeks are lined with forested or shrub wetlands. So we check drainage on every job here.
We do not assume every lot drains the same way. On site, we check for standing water, soft edges, and low panels. We check the slab pitch, where the downspouts empty, and where runoff goes once it leaves the concrete. If water collects at an edge, we work out whether the slab grade, the ground beside it, or a blocked path is causing it. That answer changes how deep we excavate, how we build the base, and how we set the forms.
Trees matter too. Wooded lots near wetlands often have roots running under driveways and walks. A root can lift a panel and leave a raised edge your foot catches. When we find root displacement, we remove the lifted concrete, look at the roots and base underneath, and rebuild the section level with the panels beside it.
A lot of Moncks Corner homes were built in the 2010s, and plenty were built before that. A newer house does not tell us how thick the driveway is or how well the base was compacted. We check the slab thickness, the base, and the joints at each address instead of guessing from the build year.

How We Do the Work
We start with your call and a visit to the house to see the concrete. Every job follows the same order.
First we walk the driveway with you. We look at cracks, sunken panels, surface loss, and how the slab meets the garage, the street, and any walks. We separate surface wear from movement in the slab. Then we explain the demolition, base work, drainage grading, and concrete work we recommend.
For replacement, we break out and remove the damaged concrete. We excavate to the planned depth, dig out soft spots, and compact the subgrade and aggregate base. We set the slab thickness and reinforcement for the vehicles you park on it. Before the truck arrives, we check form heights, reinforcement placement, and the slope toward the drainage route.
On pour day we place, screed, and float the concrete, then broom-finish the surface for traction. We cut control joints to manage shrinkage cracking. We protect the slab while it cures and give you a date for parking on it.
For repairs, we remove unsound concrete and grind or otherwise mechanically prepare the surface so the repair mortar or overlay bonds. We only resurface when the slab underneath has solid support. An overlay will not stop a slab from settling.
Our driveway project process guide walks through each stage in more detail.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you repair my driveway instead of replacing it?
Yes, when the damage is limited to cracks, spalls, or scaling and the base is still solid. If panels have sunk or tilted, the support underneath has failed. We replace those panels and fix the base. We tell you which one we find before we price the work.
Why does water sit at the end of my driveway?
Usually the slab pitches the wrong way, the ground beside it has built up higher than the edge, or the path off the driveway is blocked. We find which one it is. The fix may be regrading the ground at the edge or replacing a section at a new slope. Resurfacing alone will not move the water.
What affects the price of a new driveway?
Size, tear-out, access, excavation, base repairs, slab thickness, and drainage work. We measure and inspect before we price the job. Our driveway cost guide breaks these down.
When can I park on new concrete?
We give you a vehicle-use date based on the concrete placed, the curing weather, and the weight of your vehicles. A hard surface does not mean the slab is ready for a car. We tell you the date before the pour so you can plan where to park.
Do you work outside Moncks Corner?
Yes. We also pour driveways in Goose Creek, Summerville, Ladson, Sangaree, and Hanahan. You can read more about our company.

★★★★★
Old driveway was cracked all over and sinking near the street. New one looks a hundred times better. Crew was easy to deal with too.
